The former £16m man appears to have no future at St Mary’s and Celtic could yet strike a deal for the winger but as of now, he is still a Southampton player. The ex-Basel man’s contract will expire of June 30 meaning that before that, he can use the facilities at Lennoxtown to regain fitness.
Southampton are also preparing for their Premier League restart with strict measures in place to make sure that their first team remain uninfected in order to fulfil their remaining Premier League games. This means that they won’t want two loanees returning and risking their group.
Celtic will be hoping to strike a deal for Forster and Elyounoussi but as it stands, the pair will both leave at the end of the month.
