Elyounoussi’s Farewell Message: “Pleasure and honour to wear the iconic green and white shirt”

Moi Elyounoussi has posted a thank you and farewell to Celtic after officially ending his second loan period at the club today. The Norwegian forward was the most impressive of the various loan stars at Celtic last season and over the course of his two seasons Elyounoussi has done more than enough to have Celtic interested in a permanent deal if that could be arranged with Southampton.

Whether Moi is going to be given a shot at making it at the Premier League club remains to be seen but his attributes are well known in Glasgow where he’d find a familiar place to play his football – with the added advantage that he’d be playing in-front of the Celtic support who will be back this season. Here is his farewell message.

“I would like to thank everyone at Celtic for the two seasons I was there. Thanks to all the coaching and backroom staff, the players and everyone who is working at this historic club. I have shared a dressing room with a fantastic group of players and made friends for life.

“It has been a pleasure and honour to wear the iconic green and white shirt. I’ll take all the good memories with me both domestically and in Europe.

“Lastly I want to thank the amazing fans that has been supporting and cheering me since the day I arrived. You made every game both at the incredible Celtic Park and away games joyful. We missed you last season and I hope for the boys that you are back next season.”
