Celtic’s Manager and players now look joined in the same cause. The next three games will tell us one way or another…

A recent image on social media caught my attention, and it was one that gave me some confidence in our current squad in a time of great uncertainty.
There has been total nonsense posted on here since Nancy’s arrival, particularly how the players don’t like him
Does this look like a squad against their gaffer?

It wasn’t anything major, just a snap of the players in the midst of a training session at Lennoxtown, looking chirpy, relaxed and engrossed with new boss Wilfried Nancy gathered amongst them.
Nothing out of the ordinary for a football side on the training field, but for Celtic Football Club at this moment in time it signals a beacon of hope at a time when moral has been at an all time low.

Don’t read into this as a nod of confidence in the direction towards the ones who currently run our club, far from it. They are still the root of all our problems and need removed from their positions if we are to make strides in moving forward, and realising our true potential and ambitions to be the best possible version of Celtic. We still require change in that department, make no mistake about that.
In the matter of our future on the pitch, well that’s an entirely different story. Despite our current woes on the playing and managerial front, there does seem to be a sign of some light at the end of a very dark tunnel.
I’ll admit that I still harbour some serious doubts over Wilfried Nancy, and whether he’s the man to take us forward, but I can truthfully say that after seeing that image it cleared a few of those lingering doubts that exist in my own mind.

It’s time I and many of you put any of these doubts that we all harbour firmly to one side, and get behind the manager and players starting tomorrow afternoon at Livingston.
All the Scottish mainstream media noise over our manager and players, and their relationship seems to have been exaggerated somewhat, not that we should be surprised. Are some of us, myself included guilty of believing their narrative?

Maybe just maybe we are and with Celtic’s unwarranted and cowardly fan media ban still in place – punishment without any crime – Nancy has not had the chance to interact with Celtic supporters publicly, and instead has been asking the questions put to him by the hacks, who seldom if ever have Celtic’s best interests at heart.
That training ground image seems to have rubbished such claims. The manager and players all look united in the same cause. The next few games will tell us one way or another.
Win our next three games against Livingston, Motherwell and theRangers and Nancy will be able put his dreadful start as Celtic manager behind him and win the backing of the entire Celtic support as we look forward to a better year in 2026.
