English sides interested in signing Celtic midfielder Bosun Lawal

Queen’s Park Rangers, Portsmouth and Derby County are reportedly interested in signing Celtic’s Bosun Lawal. The Irishman has impressed in his loan spell with Fleetwood Town, sparking interest from other English sides.

As reported by Sun Sport, Lawal is attracting interest from the teams that will be in the Championship next season.

Brendan Rodgers will reportedly give Lawal a chance to stake a claim for a place in the first team; however, it is also appreciated by the club that a loan deal might benefit the continued development of the player.

Scott Brown took the 20-year-old to the Cod Army at the start of the season, no doubt on the instruction of the Celtic manager to play him in the middle of the park. Broony departed and was replaced by Lee Johnson and then Charlie Adam but the constant level of performance from Lawal caught the eye.

Lawal was a central defender in the Celtic B Team and on his Celtic debut; although, given his profile, Rodgers will be interested in keeping an eye on his progression.
