Every picture tells a story, Peter…

THEY say that every picture tells a story and this one certainly does.

After Celtic failed to score against St Mirren on Friday having previously only managed one goal against Rangers in the previous match – two games that Celtic should have won comfortably – there has been a subdued mood around the Celtic support all weekend.

One goal in two games, two points dropped and falling 5 points behind league leaders Hearts, who must now be considered a threat.

This photograph though is significant. It shows Celtic scoring in the Champions League – Paddy Roberts got the goal, and he is joined in the celebrations by Stuart Armstrong with Moussa Dembele not for behind ready to join in.

From scoring against Manchester City in the Champions League to stalemate against newly promoted St Mirren.

Celtic have take in £27million from the sale of Armstrong and Dembele and have yet to spend a penny replacing them.

Paddy Roberts is in Spain on a season long loan deal and when that is done he will be entering the final year of his contract. Surely he can be enticed back next summer?

But in January surely the need to invest in the squad is apparent. As they say, every picture tells a story, Peter…

Should Celtic spend in January to improve the squad? Have your say on the new fans forum Celtic Noise, what are you waiting for?
