Ex-Celtic striker makes comical Scottish comparison to Roy Keane bust up

Celtic hero Chris Sutton has weighed in on the weekend flashpoint of Roy Keane being confronted by an Ipswich fan. The Man Utd legend was on Sky Sports punditry duties for the 1-1 draw before being filmed in a heated exchange with a home supporter.

Sutton, who is never one to miss a moment of controversy to apply his quick wit, spoke about the incident on ‘It’s All Kicking Off’ podcast as he discusses some of the interactions he’s had in punditry.

Given his success at Celtic and his fairly obvious dislike for Rangers, Sutton has been subject to a fair amount of abuse from the Ibrox support – something that he relishes.

Sutton’s quip comes at the expense of Sky colleague Kris Boyd, who regularly makes impassioned speeches about the affairs at Ibrox with Sutton offering to console him.

Keane and the Ipswich fan were allegedly having a disagreement over the Irishman’s tenure as manager with The Tractor Boys. The fan was making comments throughout Keane’s punditry that were heard and challenged by Keane, resulting in him offering to speak to him out in the car park.
