Extra tickets available to Celtic fans for Betfred Cup Semi vs Hibs

This probably won’t come as a huge surprise when you consider Hibs fans have had a pretty turgid season to endure so far, but it appears they won’t be selling as many tickets as they first hoped.

As a result, The Sun has reported that Celtic have received an extra allocation of tickets for the Semi to be played on Saturday 2 November at Hampden.

The report doesn’t specify exactly how many tickets have been made available but it does say there will be a second ballot for the fans to get tickets to the game.

Unless something drastically changes for Hibs on the pitch or in the dugout this should be a pretty routine win for Neil Lennon as the club look to take the next step towards the quadruple treble.

The last game between the two sides did end in a 1-1 draw in Edinburgh, but that was largely down to a quite remarkable refereeing performance where penalties did not seem to be on the agenda.
