This is how it feels to be Celtic, this is how it smells to be Rangers

BRENDAN RODGERS had probably one of his most difficult weeks in football management last week.

Moussa Deembele, up until Thursday evening, had been an absolute model professional at Celtic and a gentleman too. Yet that all changed after Celtic advised him that he wouldn’t be sold due to the club not having a replacement lined-up.

Moussa, like the rest of us, probably figured that Odsonne Edouard was his direct replacement and that’s how it’s turned out, but only after Dembele issued a series of insulting an defamatory remarks via his Twitter account on the early hours of Friday morning.

He was then asked to go inside from the training ground where he was behaving abysmally and there as a danger of his attitude contaminating the playing environment for the other Celtic players.

Dembele was sold, the French side – who are skilled in the dark arts of football – were made to pay the entire sum up from (€22million) and Celtic went on top beat Rangers 1-0, a scoreline that flattered the visitors in the extreme.

Here’s how the Celtic supporters were regarding Brendan Rodgers at yesterday’s match.

Then after the game Brendan put on record what had happened, how Dembele was challenged about the so-called promises and how he then admitted that no such promises were made. Brendan then say he could have his move if he could arrange it and was also vey gracious about the player who he still believes to be a decent guy.

Rodgers was pure class in the way he handled this – a brilliant Celtic manager.

Meanwhile the outrageous Paddy Power has had something to say about moaning faced Steven Gerrard and the 800, smelly, bogey eating visiting supporters yesterday…
