Finally, David Turnbull get his Welcome to Celtic Video – “It’s a huge club, everybody knows that”

DAVID TURNBULL was formally unveiled as a Celtic player this afternoon at Celtic Park with the usual formalities taking place, the photoshoot wearing the Hoops, a press conference and of course a ‘Welcome to Celtic’ interview with Celtic TV,  which you can watch below.

The £3m signing from Motherwell was completed yesterday, just over a year after his initial transfer to Celtic was halted by a previously undiscovered issue with the midfielder’s knee. That required surgery and the majority of last season was spent in rehab and Turnbull began along and difficult period getting himself back to full fitness so that he could conclude his dream move to Paradise.

“It feels amazing. I feel the past year I’ve worked towards this. I’m delighted to be a part of it and can’t wait to go,” Turnbull said. “I’m delighted to be here and can’t wait to get started!”

The £3m signing added: “I’m just focused on training as hard as I can, and pushing my new teammates and they’ll push me too. I believe in my ability and feel I can come here and make an impact.”

On his recovery from the knee operation last summer: “I took it day by day. Some days it was tough. My teammates and the physio helped me a lot and I knew I’d get back to the player I was.”

On Celtic – “It’s a huge club, everybody knows that. It gives me confidence knowing that the club wanted me to sign.”
