As the international break comes to an end, we now turn our attention to a run of fixtures that could very well make or alternatively dent our season. Over the next month or so just up until Christmas we will play eight matches across three different competitions.

Five of those games I’m going to highlight will be games that could well define our season.

Starting on Saturday night where a tough test awaits us against Hearts at Tynecastle. Following that we will be at home against Club Brugge in the Champions League where a win would all but guarantee us a play off spot for the last 16.

The following week sees us travel to Pittodrie to play Aberdeen on Scottish Premiership duty in a game that will undoubtedly be our toughest domestic fixture to date. Depending on results in previous games, we could still well be level or even behind the Dons in the table. Meaning a win at Pittodrie will be extremely vital as we look to send out a statement of our intent. It sure is a fixture to relish.

The following midweek we travel to Croatia to take on Dynamo Zagreb in a vital champions league fixture in what will undoubtedly be a tough fixture to negotiate. Avoiding defeat will be our ultimate goal as we look to boost our chances of automatic qualification to the last 16, which would be a very impressive achievement.

After Zagreb we will be heading to Hampden to take on theRangers in the final of the Premier Sports Cup. The first bit of silverware of the season on offer, and a win will not only keep alive our hopes of yet another treble, but keep the feel good factor going as we look to make this campaign one of our most memorable in recent years.

It will be tough to come through all the matches unscathed, but a challenge we are more than capable of doing. Bring it on I say.

An ordinary everyday Celtic supporters hailing and still residing in Govan in the shadows of the enemy. I’m a season ticket holder. I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Star colleagues.

  1. I can’t recall ourselves having such a demanding fixture list, as what this season has thrown upon ourselves?
Especially in the first half of this season, and the only real extra, is 2 CL matches?
    Coincidence, my hole?
Yet, these specially selected fixtures to date, within keeping our Scottish dominance intact, hasn’t been successful, whatsoever to date?
Would agree that this run of fixtures, coming upon ourselves, has all the potential of setting ourselves up for a remarkable 2nd half of the season to come imo?
We have managed this season superbly so far, especially with the use of the international breaks?
Now we haven’t got them available to push the reset button now, so Rodgers will possibly have to rely on the depth of the squad moreso with game management a potential bigger factor for him to overcome, during this period we are entering into?
Already now that the mini huns will be allowed to do the thuggery football approach on Saturday evening, without any form of consequences been applied to them whatsoever?
So without any protection on offer from cheating officials in Scottish football, then potential injuries are a possible concern for ourselves to overcome, moreso than what any qualities Scottish teams offer against ourselves?
Saying that, we are also, by some distance, the best prepared team and squad, to be able to handle the demands placed upon ourselves and overcome whatever obstacles are placed in our way?
Hasn’t been successful to date this season, and think that will remain the case also?
