Focus is now on getting the three points in Paisley

Saturday is behind us now, all focus now on getting the three points in Paisley…

Saturday’s win over theRangers was very satisfying indeed. It ended the year on a perfect note and it’s gave us all a few days of brilliant meltdown entertainment, but that’s all in the past now and this afternoon we must negotiate a tough obstacle in the shape of St Mirren.

The Buddies will be a tough opponent to overcome, make no mistake. Stephen Robinsons side have been in good form this campaign and head into the game full of confidence after a superb 3-0 victory against Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Saturday.

We too of course will be in good spirits after winning the Glasgow Derby, but Brendan knows fine well that his fellow countryman Stephen Robinson will have his buddies side well drilled and up for the visit of the Champions. We will undoubtedly have to be at our best to earn the three points.

Our last game against the Buddies at Celtic Park taught us just that, when it took a late Oh goal to secure a 2-1 win in a nervy game. So we shouldn’t expect anything different this evening.

We need the three points, it’s vital. There is no point in beating theRangers only to slip up in the next game. If we play with the same quality, commitment and desire as we did against the Ibrox side we will beat St Mirren.

Let’s hope that is the case and we can head into the winter break in good spirits.

I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Star colleagues.
