Footy Headlines tease exciting Celtic away kit update

Footy Headlines have teased an exciting update regarding Celtic away kits. The website, that is famously the home to the most reliable output regarding forthcoming kits, tweeted on Sunday evening the 2013/2014 away jersey with the caption ‘Back soon’.

Celtic have not had a yellow/golden shirt since the New Balance years and there is yet to be one in the initial Adidas output. It would stand to reason that a rehashed version of the golden away shirt could be coming.

In the picture shared, Celtic wore this shirt in Neil Lennon’s final season in charge during the Irishman’s first spell. It is almost synonymous with Kris Commons, such was his goal scoring record that season.

It will be interesting to see whether this is a kit update for next season or whether the club and Adidas are going to attempt to launch a fourth kit, as they did last season.

Adidas have been quite successful since assuming kit manufacturing from New Balance. This season’s home kit caused some stir owing to the unique design on the Hoops but fans have come to accept it, with some going as far as saying that the kit is a future classic.
