Did you know John McGinn could have signed for Celtic in 2018?…
I was very surprised to hear last night that John McGinn was a Celtic target back in 2018, but due to financial differences he never signed for the club and opted to head south and sign for Aston Villa instead.
Did it surprise you? Yes of course it did, I mean no one has ever spoken about it and it’s cmme as a complete shock especially since the Scotland man is in such superb form for high flying Villa in the EPL.

Okay, i’m being sarcastic, everyone and their granny has heard of how McGinn slipped through the fingers of the club, whether that was to do with us not wanting to splash the cash or Hibs not wanting to sell to us, or McGinn wanting the bigger salary on offer down south is essentially anyone’s guess.
But really who cares? It’s done and dusted. We’ve had plenty of decent players slip through the net when we could have otherwise had them at Celtic Park. It’s life, we move on.
What’s the point on dwelling on it? John McGinn has been superb down south and good luck to him, I admire him as a player and a person. It’s great to see him doing well in England.
Yes he would have been a superb addition to our side, but we’ve done not to badly these past few years eh? I prefer to concentrate on the side that we have currently.

Is this article not ” dwelling on it ” ?
Apologies. Hadn’t seen the previous article. Fair comment.
I’ve always been more concerned about the players we sign that turn out to be a disaster than ones that got away
Why has (arguably) the most successful manager in the history of British football never managed the club he played for, supported all his life & grew up a stone’s throw from the stadium ????
HH
Apology due here. I hadn’t seen the earlier McGinn article. Sorry.
