Former Celtic youth team prospect Liam Morrison has just been handed a new contract by German giants FC Bayern Munich, which will keep him at the Bundesliga champions until 2025.
Morrison has played a number of games for the B team since joining from Celtic a couple of years ago. He has been hit by injury in recent times, but the management have seen enough to offer him a two year extension.

The young defender has been training with the first team squad and at 19 years of age he still has a very bright future in the game.
B team manager Jochen Sauer told the club’s website: “Liam is a tall central defender, good at headers and tackles, who always gives his all for his team on the pitch. He brings a lot with him to assert himself in his position in professional football. That’s why we are very happy about his contract extension and are very excited about his future path.”

His progression highlights what a talent the Bhoys lost and outlines the importance of receiving proper renumeration for losing players that we have developed throughout their careers.
