Fran Alonso’s Celtic drawn against Hearts in Scottish Cup semi-final

Having knocked out both theRangers and Aberdeen, Fran Alonso’s Celtic FC Women team were in the draw for today’s Biffa Scottish Women’s Cup draw alongside Glasgow City, Hearts and Partick Thistle.

And the draw which has just taken place is as follows:

Hearts v Celtic

Partick Thistle v Glasgow City

Both games will take place on Sunday 1st May at the Falkirk Stadium. This is what happened for the League Cup semi-final with Glasgow City getting through earlier in the day before Celtic played against Hibs around 4pm.

GOAL! 0-1 Caitlin Hayes (#18) of Celtic Women FC celebrates with her team mates following the opening goal during the Scottish Womens Premier League Cup Final match between Glasgow City FC & Celtic FC at Firhill Stadium, Maryhill, Scotland on 5 December 2021.

Celtic and Glasgow City will be huge favourites to reach the Scottish Cup Final and Fran Alonso and his players will be dreaming of another Cup Final glory day where they can bring back a second trophy in what would be a memorable season for this young, talented and Exciting Celtic team.

Anyone who was at the League Cup Final back in December will tell you that Celtic bossed that game from start to finish and that the 1-0 scoreline in Celtic’s favour didn’t really do justice to the way that Cup Final panned out.

What we now need is for a large Celtic support to get along to Falkirk and cheer on the team against Hearts.
