French duo fail in late bids for Olivier Ntcham

OLIVIER NTCHAM was the subject of Deadline Day interest from Bordeaux and Brest but Celtic rebuffed the advances for their French midfielder. Loic Tanzi of RMC Sport reported that the Scottish Champions received two offers tonight from France for the 24-year-old.

Olivier Ntcham is one of the club’s top players but finding a place for him in the starting XI appears to be difficult. He appears to be inconsistent – brilliant some weeks then a bit off it the next. Lennon, Kennedy and Strachan will know his abilities at training but they need to find a way to get him into the team. Ntcham should be one of the first names on the team sheet every week, he is fast, skilful and has an eye for a pass. Not only does he do the dirty work, he also has a final product.

Thankfully, Celtic have decided against allowing him to leave the club this transfer window.

Ntcham signed from Manchester City in 2017 and has made 136 appearances, scoring 23 times as Celtic have enjoyed phenomenal success.
