French rumour, Lyon agree Dembele deal at £22.5million

REPORTS in France are now claiming that Lyon have reached agreement with Celtic to sign Moussa Dembele for £22.5million.

The Lyon President, Jean-Michel Aulas, moved fast to enter the bidding for Jason Denayer and his no nonsense approach saw him take to social media on a Friday evening after Lyon’s first game of the season, to announce that he was planning on signing the Belgian defender (no not that one). Denayer was signed the following week after passing a medical and agreeing personal terms with the Ligue 1 side, whose fantastic new ground was used last season for the Europa League Final.

We reported earlier on Jean-Michel Aulas’s remarks about negotiating with Celtic and where he also revealed that Dembele was keen on moving to the French side – read HERE.
