Glasgow Celtic, the team for you and me…

Glasgow Celtic, our wonderful, brilliant football club and as the song goes it’s ‘the only team for me and you’.

Yes we really do support a magical football club, actually it’s much more than a football club. We are a family, we are an institution. A football club that brings joy not just as a source of entertainment on the football pitch but off it too.

It’s a cliche that’s often over used, how often do we here ‘ it’s a family as well as a football club’ but when it concerns Celtic football club it’s one hundred percent correct.

Part of our prominent identity and something that is ingrained in our DNA is our charitable roots. We were formed to help the oppressed and we proudly still do so to this day. Those in charge of our club might have forgotten our roots but the real heartbeat of the club, that would be me and you, the supporters, never have and never ever will.

We have a wonderful illustrious unbroken history, laden with wonderful memories and stories handed down throughout generations. We have accomplished greatness and set records that will never be equalled or beaten. That along with our moral commitment to helping the most needy in society makes us a very unique and special entity.

Supporters of other clubs can only look on in envy at not only our identity but our achievements. Yes we may suffer disappointments, but like all close-knit families we always come through it. The good days will always outweigh the bad. We are Celtic and always will be. It’s a privilege to be a Celtic supporter. I wouldn’t change it for the world.
