Glasgow Derby: Let’s get into them from the start Celtic

Let’s get into them from the start Celtic…

Derby day is now upon us. it’s the last game of the year and our most vital game of the season. Losing is unimaginable, it’s unacceptable. Yes, it could happen especially with the form we’ve been in recently, but we have to go out with a positive mindset. Not just the players, but the supporters also.

This is a different type of fixture from the ones we’ve recently faced. The atmosphere will be deafening, the tempo will be ferocious. The players will be more focused than the previous few weeks, that you can be sure of.

And theRangers will come with a game plan to stifle us as most sides do, but they will attack, make no mistake. That should suit us fine as we perform much better in games when our opponents like to play football.

The attackers will have to be on their game though. We will get chances and they will have to clinical enough to take anything that comes their way, something they’ve been poor at recently.

One of the biggest concerns is in defence. Losing CCV to injury is a massive blow, but we will have to have faith in Stephen Welsh and Liam Scales. After all, we did go to Ibrox in September without CCV and still won, so we can do it without the Big Strong Man.

It’s almost time. Let’s make some noise for the Bhoys! No complaining or negativity, let’s get into them straight from the start Celtic and every supporter at the match has to give it everything too! We’re the twelfth man and we’ve seen before how today’s opponents can’t handle the atmosphere at Celtic Park.

About Author

An ordinary everyday Celtic supporters hailing and still residing in Govan in the shadows of the enemy. I’m a season ticket holder. I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Star colleagues.
