Glasgow Derby To Take Place At Celtic Park Before The End Of The Year

Celtic have today confirmed a fixture amendment has been made to the B team’s Lowland League schedule, concerning the Glasgow Derby clash with Rangers B this December. The match will now take place at 2pm on 30 December. However, interestingly, the game will also now be held at Celtic Park.

Ticket details have yet to be confirmed, but it’s sure to be a great occasion for our young reserve players, and a game that may attract a decent crowd over the festive period – just days before the first team travel to Ibrox on SPFL duty.

The B team are of course managed by former Celtic first team players Darren O’Dea and Stephen McManus. They currently lie seventh in the Lowland League table, only five points adrift of league leaders Rangers B.

If Celtic B win their games in hand then they will go as high as second, though they do not have any games in hand over their Glasgow rivals, meaning this upcoming fixture could be key in terms of the title race.
