Griffiths makes ‘massive’ Tom Rogic admission

LEIGH GRIFFITHS has made an admission about Celtic playmaker Tom Rogic. The 30-year-old striker was speaking to The Celtic View ahead of the international break and he praised the influence of the 27-year-old Australian both on the park and in the dressing room.

The Australian was linked with a multi-million moves to Qatar in the summer but fortunately Rogic didn’t leave the club, instead re-establishing himself as a mainstay in the Celtic starting XI. Griffiths is someone who knows all about biding your time and taking your chances and he believes that it would have been a huge loss for the club on and off the park had he left.

“He’d have been a massive loss, but thankfully we’ve managed to keep a hold of him.

“The impact he’s made over the course of the last few games has been brilliant.”

Rogic has totalled up a number of assists since returning to the team, showcasing his talents as Celtic switched formation to a 4-2-3-1. Rogic will be remembered for the Invincible Final long after he leaves Celtic but the Australian playmaker has proven that he has the ability to change matches and influence wins for the club.

He has managed to bring the best out of Moi Elyounoussi and Ryan Christie, which has been seen by an upturn of results. Griffiths was tee’d up by Rogic versus Sparta Prague after the attacker’s shot fell at his feet. The goal epitomised Rogic’s talent and Griffiths’ natural instincts to chase goals. The pair could be imperative in the hunt for 10IAR.
