“It hasn’t been good enough,” Sutton slams Hoops

LISTEN to Chris Sutton on BBC Radio 5 Live last night, the link is below. The Celtic legend outlines for an national radio audience the problems that have emerged at Celtic since the summer of discontent and misses no-one in his assessment of what has gone wrong.

“It hasn’t been good enough,” Sutton concludes. And his assessment of the football we’ve had to watch this season, other than in the game against Rangers? “It has been boring.”

Few would argue with that as he talks through the fiasco from the summer that lingers over Celtic even now.

The outspoken pundit and former Celtic star has been banging on about this for months now and the fact that Celtic – in 6th spot in the league are now open to national discussion on our problems.

“Brendan Rodgers has to take responsibility,” Sutton states but the problems up stairs aren’t overlooked either.

What we really need is for the talking to be done on the park and if Rangers can put 5 past St Johnstone, we should aim to do the same tomorrow evening in the Betfred Cup.

If we lose that game we all have a good idea of which team will go on to win that Cup and it will give them a huge boost and also added momentum.

Let’s start playing Celtic. It’s time to let your football do the talking…

There is a lively debate on all of this over on Celtic Noise. Do you agree with Chris Sutton’s assessment of what’s gone wrong this season and what’s your thoughts on how we fix it?  Have your say now…
