Hibs suffer double injury blow ahead of Sunday’s Final

Hibernian have suffered a double injury blow ahead of Sunday’s Premier Sports Cup Final against Celtic. With no manager yet in place, Hibs faced Dundee this evening with a focus on picking up all three points. It was a narrow 1-0 goal win with Paul McMullan heading in an own goal to seal the points for the Easter Road outfit.

However, those that made the trip to the game will have left worrying about Chris Cadden and Kevin Nisbet, who were both forced from the pitch with injuries. Nisbet could be a big miss for the Edinburgh outfit ahead of the game at the weekend such is his prowess in front of goal.

This blow could potentially scupper the supposed new manager Shaun Maloney’s plans if he is to take charge of the side ahead of the Cup Final.

Celtic aren’t without their own injury concerns with a raft of players currently sidelined. However, manager Ange Postecoglou insisted that there is a chance that Kyogo will return for the game, which would give him at least one striker to call upon for the game at Hampden.
