Higgins Latest: “The war is over, the supporters have won”

Some great news this morning for all Celtic supporters ahead of the League Cup Final this afternoon against Hibs at Hampden.

It has been confirmed that the recent protests against the proposed appointment of Bernard Higgins have worked and the soon to be retired senior cop will NOT now be joining Celtic!

“The war is over, the supporters have won,” FAC have tweeted this morning. “Bernard Higgins will NOT be joining Celtic. Hoops fans have been demonstrating their opposition about the potential appointment of the former police commander with a series of protests.

Higgins was thought to be in line for a senior role at the club.  However he won’t be joining the Parkhead club when he retire froths rile within the Police.

A spokesman for Mr Higgins said: “To address recent speculation, I can confirm that I will not be joining CelticFC when I retire from the police on 31 December 2021.”

So no more Higgins protests, silent protests or tennis balls and we can now all concentrate ob backing Ange Postecoglou and the players in that Holy Trinity – the supporters, players and manager.
