Highlights are up now from the Celtic FC Women Scottish Cup quarter final win at the Balmoral Stadium against Aberdeen. Fran Alonso’s team watched the action from Ibrox on the team-bus other journey to the North East and were in buoyant mood as the took to the field to contest the club tie and look to secure the fourth place in the semi-final draw after Glasgow City, Hearts and Partick Thistle made the draw on Friday night.
A stunning goal from Shen after a cover back heal from Larisey gave Celtic the lead at the interval and Jodie Bartle – who loves a goal celebration – got to do what she likes best when doubling Celtic’s lead to see out the game.

A delighted Fran Alonso spoke after his side’s 2-0 win over Aberdeen to Celtic TV where he talked through the exciting journey to Aberdeen watching Ange Postecoglou’s side putting on a show, his side’s competent quarter final win over Aberdeen and giving the team a few days off given it’s the international break this weekend.

“It was a fantastic day for us on the way here. We watched the game together with the girls and it was great to see them getting a massive three points,” the charismatic Celtic FC Women manager stated.
“So that was the best pre-match we’ve had all season and we were in a very good mood, and I think we had a very good performance, a professional performance.
“We could’ve scored a few more goals but the only thing that matters is the boys got three points and we got into the semi-final.
“We now have a weekend without a fixture, so that’s good for the players to have a little bit more time off that they never had during the season.
“We don’t give them many days off so they can switch off a little bit, rest and then we can push them a little bit more when they come to training.
“It’s important they can just enjoy time with the families if they can and then when we will see them back on Wednesday, we will make sure we put them up to speed.”
The Scottish Cup semi-final draw takes place tomorrow afternoon.
