Huge news – AC Milan left-back Diego Laxalt is Paradise bound

CELTIC look set to finally get their new left wing back with a loan deal to sign Diego Laxalt. According to Italian journalist Daniele Longo of Calciomerato, Laxalt will join the Scottish Champions on a season-long loan and be able to face Milan in the Europa League group-stages.

Longo says that Laxalt will fly to Glasgow tomorrow to finalise his loan move away from Milan.

The Uruguayan Internationalist spent last season on loan at Torino but has failed to make the grade with Milan after pre-season and I Rossoneri wanted to recoup the £14m fee paid to Genoa in 2018 but no bids were forthcoming.

Now Celtic look to have sealed a deal for the 27-year-old which will see him competing for a starting place with Greg Taylor in Neil Lennon’s side.

The player will travel to Glasgow tomorrow and have his medical as the paperwork is sorted but it will be a coup if Celtic can pull off this transfer.

Due to the UEFA competition rules, Laxalt will be able to play AC Milan in the Europa League group stages meaning he could be set for a return to the San Siro sooner than expected.
