‘I still feel I can have a future at Celtic,’ Jack Hendry

JACK HENDRY got off to an impressive start at Melbourne City at the weekend in the goalless draw against Perth Glory. That earned him a place in the A League’s Team of the Week and had his new manager raving about the on loan Celtic star.

Hendry, who has joined Melbourne City until the end of the season, still has two years to run on his Celtic contract and the former Dundee man reckons that he’s still got plenty to give wearing the Hoops. Hendry is far from giving up on his time as a Celtic player, judging by his comments today, as reported in Scottish Sun.

“I still feel I can have a future at Celtic,” Hendry said. “I love playing for Celtic and they are a massive club.

“I still have a couple of years left on my contract there and I feel I can still become a first-team regular at Celtic but for just now I just need to go out get games and to get back playing the way I know I can – to the level that convinced Celtic to go out and buy me from Dundee in the first place.”

We featured Jack Hendry finest moment in a Celtic shirt at the weekend – a classic comedy moment as he pulls an incredulous look over his shoulder as Alfredo Morelos missed that sitter in the closing stages of Beautiful Sunday at Ibrox in March 2018. If you missed it have a look now.
