“I’m delighted to play in front of 60,000 fans, the atmosphere was good and I’m looking forward to playing in more.” Cameron Carter-Vickers

Today’s Man of the Match, Cameron Carter-Vickers was delighted to get his first opportunity to play in front of the Celtic support against Ross County at Paradise this afternoon and is definitely not interested in any talk that today’s crucial opener should be regarded as an own goal.  And he declared himself reasonably happy with the team’s performance on the 3-0 win, while accepting the there is much more to come from this team.

“I thought we played well, I thought we persisted as they were tough to break down as it took a bit of time to get the first goal and then the other two,” Carter-Vickers said. “But I thought we played fairly well, although there are things we can improve on, defensively and going forward, but I think that will come.”

His 64th-minute long distance strike was definitely heading for  goal, but it took a wicked deflection before spinning over the Ross County keeper.  “I think it was on target, so I think I’ll get the goal, but sometimes in those kind of games, you need a bit of luck. If you keep going and keep pushing forward, luck comes and that’s what we needed.”
