“Incredible, unwavering support,” Celtic confirm sell-out for tonight’s game against AZ Alkmaar

Celtic fans have once again shown “incredible, unwavering support” for the club by selling out Paradise this evening for the Europa League Play-off round against Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.

Not sure of how many tickets have been made available for this match, given the UEFA restrictions applicable to the Main Stand but it must be around 53,000 supporters who will be in attendance at Celtic Park tonight for what is a huge match against a high quality Dutch side. Yet with the way Celtic are now playing under Ange Postecoglou there will be a real sense of expectancy and optimism among those travelling though to Parkhead and also those watching on Celtic’s Pay-Per-View broadcast via StreamDigital.

“If we bring 60,000 into the ground then they (supporters) expect us to go for it from the first minute not wait ten minutes for us to get into the game or take the foot off the gas after ten minutes. I just don’t think that’s what football’s about,” Ange Postecoglou stated at his mainstream media conference yesterday.
