It’s great to have Jamsie back. His experience will benefit Celtic greatly in our treble bid…

James Forrest was pictured back in full training yesterday after a three months spell on the treatment table due to an injury he sustained in December’s Premier Sports League Cup final win over theRangers.

James looked fighting fit and raring to go, and whilst it’s doubtful that he’ll be ready for Sunday’s clash against the latest Ibrox club is another thing, the return of such an experienced and talented figure will give us a huge boost as we aim to win a domestic treble.

James Forrest is only one honour away from overtaking the legendary Bobby Lennox

James is the most experienced and decorated player in the present day squad, and is only one honour away from overtaking the legendary Bobby Lennox as the most decorated player in the clubs illustrious history.

He’s seen and done it all since making his first team debut 15 years ago. League titles, cups, numerous trebles, playing at the highest level in the champions league, as well as several international appearances for Scotland.

James Forrest will be desperate for a goal

He’ll be desperate for a goal too as this is the only season during his time at the club where he has so far failed to hit the back of the net. Even if it’s a penalty, expect Arne Engels to step aside and let Jamesy take it!

He may be seen as more of a squad player these days, but don’t underestimate his value to the side. As well as being an influential member of the dressing room, he still offers us a great option on the park. Having him back available for selection will benefit us greatly in our treble bid.

Just an Ordinary Bhoy

An ordinary everyday Celtic supporters hailing and still residing in Govan in the shadows of the enemy. I’m a season ticket holder. I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Star colleagues.
