Jedinak to complete Postecoglou’s Spurs backroom team following Celtic exit

Ange Postecoglou has now completed his Tottenham Hotspur backroom team following his exit from Celtic Park at the beginning of June. After the Scottish Cup Final the Greek-Aussie was coy over whether or not he would still be manager of the football club this upcoming season and it went from bad to worse for the Hoops supporters at the time as he agreed terms with Daniel Levy shortly after competing the Treble.

Postecoglou wanted to come back to Parkhead and poach the coaching staff he inherited in John Kennedy, Gavin Strachan, Harry Kewell and Greg Wallace; however, majority shareholder Dermot Desmond and the Celtic Board fought off any such raid as they wanted to keep continuity at the club for the next man to take on the mantle.

Thankfully we pulled out a the stops and got a first-class operator in our former manager, Brendan Rodgers, who has returned to the club to put right the wrongs of his last period in charge and the way he exited through the back door of the club. With a war-chest and assurances of no interference in the football department this time from above, we are looking in a very healthy position indeed to build upon the former Australia coach’s work.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed former Crystal Palace star Jedinak would complete the set-up, along with former Celtic assistant manager, Chris Davies, Ryan Mason and Rob Burch.

Celtic fans of course wish Ange the best of luck but now realise that we were nothing more than a handy stepping stone to get himself a job in the English Premier League. Now it’s all about backing Brendan Rodgers who last Friday guaranteed that he would stay at the club for the three years of his contract unless ‘exited’ by the club!

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
