John Hartson gives verdict on rash defensive decision in Ibrox defeat

The blame has fallen upon many a person for Celtic’s inability to hold on to Ten In A Row across this campaign. Neil Lennon has, unfortunately, had to take the brunt of the force over the last few weeks given Celtic’s scarily poor form around the Halloween mark, with the directors, board and certain players also being subjected to hate across the city – as seen by the protests that occured after the St Johnstone game.

However, one certain man in today’s dismal Derby came under intense scrutiny from the majority of the fans. With Celtic piling the pressure on for the best part of an hour, a simple ball into the channel found the misfiring Alfredo Morelos, who was hacked down by Nir Bitton; the Israeli fairly being shown a red card by Bobby Madden, and this started the avalanche to Celtic’s downfall.

One man who blasted Bitton following it was former Celtic stalwart John Hartson, who thought the former Ashdod player’s decision to haul down the Colombian striker was an incredibly bad judgement of character – calling Bitton out for the result.

Taking to Twitter to vent, Hartson said:

Not every fan agreed with regards to Hartson’s comments on the title race, however; some Celtic fans were refusing to let go of the title race just yet.

There are two games against Rangers left, the gap sits at 19 points (with the 3 games in hand), providing Celtic can win every remaining game in the league and Rangers slip up a few times, it could be manageable but it would take a miracle.
