Celtic have held further talks with Jota as the club close in on an £8m deal to re-sign the player. In what has been a fast moving situation, Kyogo departed for France to sign for Rennes but now, the winger is coming the other way.
Jota is in Glasgow ahead of his proposed return to Celtic. The 25-year-old travelled back to Scotland from France on Saturday after Storm Éowyn halted plans on Friday and held talks at Celtic Park this afternoon.
UPDATE: Rennes winger Jota is in Glasgow to finalise his £8m return to Celtic.
The 25yo was due to fly to Scotland on Thursday night, but his travel was pushed back due to Storm Éowyn.

It is expected that a deal will be confirmed this weekend as the Superstar from Portugal prepares to return to Celtic.
Celtic sold Jota for £25m in the summer of 2023 but the player has struggled to settle at both Al Ittihad and now Rennes. Jota made 83 appearances for Celtic in two seasons, scoring 28 goals and assisting on 26 occasions. Jota was a key figure under Ange, winning five trophies in two years and you have to think that he will be hungry to rediscover that form under Brendan. The Irishman wants quality to push Celtic on in the European context of the game and Jota certainly fits that criteria.
Kieran Tierney is also expected to sign for Celtic in the coming days, having agreed a pre-contract with the club.
