Jota included in SPFL Team of the Week after late winner at Pittodrie

Celtic sealed a late win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Sunday with a winner from Portuguese winger Jota. The 22-year-old found himself inside the six-yard box to tap in Adam Montgomery’s pass to send the away fans into raptures as they sealed three points for Ange Postecoglou’s side. Now, Jota has been rewarded with a place in the SPFL TOTW.

Jota is the only player included in the XI but Kyogo and Carl Starfelt, who played well, were omitted. Celtic sorely needed that win on Sunday and the manager knows that if he can welcome everyone back to fitness after the International Break. Celtic were ravaged with injuries over the last few weeks with a number of key players missing out. Jota has been a bright spark, showing attacking flair on Celtic’s left side. Hopefully, we see him push on this month as the games come thick and fast for Postecoglou’s side.
