Karamoko Dembele nearing comeback with Celtic B team start

Karamoko Dembele is nearing a first team return after he was named in the starting XI for Tommy McIntyre’s B Team for the game against Vale of Leithen.

The 18-year-old has recently been pictured back training with Ange Postecoglou’s team and the manager confirmed that he would utilise the second team in order to get Dembele back up to speed ahead of a potential return to the first team.

1. Oluwayemi, 2. Easton, 3. Anderson, 4. Carse, 5. Murray (C), 6. Letsosa, 7. Dembele, 8. Summers, 9. Brooks, 10. Dawson, 11. Moffat.

Subs: Davidson, Morrison, Ure, Deane, Jackson.

The youngster scored his first goal for the club in a win over St Johnstone towards the end of last season. The promising attacker came on for James Forrest in the second half and made an immediate impact, finding the net with a smart finish. Hopefully, Celtic will reap the rewards of Dembele’s obvious talents when he returns to the first team.

It will be interesting to see how Karamoko gets on, he is an extremely talented player but has been hampered with injuries and maybe a manager that is willing to trust youngsters could see him extend his time at Celtic.
