Kieran Tierney makes Champions League Semi Final after Bernabeu win

Arsenal secured their place in the UEFA Champions League Semi Finals after a win over Real Madrid. This means that Celtic-bound Kieran Tierney will face off against Paris Saint-Germain with a view to making the showpiece final in Munich.

Tierney was a late substitute as Mikel Arteta’s side won 2-1 on the night, which completed a 5-1 aggregate score against the holders. The North London side were heavy favourites after winning 3-0 in the first leg but face Luis Enrique’s PSG in the next round.

Arteta has turned to Tierney in recent weeks as an experienced option on the left side of defence and even further forward. KT came off the bench a week ago before starting in Arsenal’s game against Brentford at the weekend. The 27-year-old is in his prime years and is a statement signing for Celtic, even more so if he is involved with a Champions League winning team.

Tierney will join Celtic in the summer after Arsenal decided against exercising an option to extend his contract. The Scotland Internationalist rejected opportunities to sign for Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen, Seville and Everton to seal a sensational return to the Scottish Champions.
