Kilmarnock 0 Celtic 5 – watch all the goals from resounding win

Celtic returned to their place at the top of the Cinch Premiership with a resounding 5-0 win away to Kilmarnock. In what was tipped as being a potentially hazardous away trip, Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic took the game by the scruff of the neck and were clinical across the course of the match.

1. Kyogo

Celtic opened the scoring within seven minutes after Greg Taylor’s tidy pass found Maeda to break the Killie defence, allowing the Japanese forward to square the ball to his attacking colleague Kyogo, who made no mistake.

2. Jota

The superstar from Portugal continued his blistering start to the season with another goal of the season contender. Jota picked the ball up around 30 yards out before dispatching an effort to the top corner.

3. Moritz Jenz

The central defender scored an overhead kick after finding himself in a favourable position when Callum McGregor’s shot was deflected. The player managed to take a touch before his overhead kick went into the back of the net.

4. Carl Starfelt

It was another defender who put himself on the scoresheet due to finding himself in a favourable position. The Swedish defender, who replaced Jenz, got two bites of the cherry and was able to convert his second chance to make it 4-0 and net his first Celtic goal.

5. Giorgos Giakoumakis

It was another overhead kick from the Scottish Champions as Giakoumakis got his first of the season. After finishing joint top scorer last year, GG was keen to get his account opened for the new campaign and he did so in excellent fashion.

Hopefully this is the start of another excellent campaign.

  1. Wonderful Celtic performance against a team, club, attitude and pitch that are an insult to the game of soccer.
