Recent UEFA findings have revealed that Celtic are in the top 20 across Europe when it comes to kit and merchandising sales. Another report Showed how impressive our overall revenue profits were, and one main attribute to that is our success in the retail market.

Celtic made a remarkable €35 million

According to the report Celtic made a remarkable €35 million (£29.3 million) in the merchandising department in 2024.

Only the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich are understandably ahead of the Hoops in that department. Indeed Celtic are the highest ranked club outside the so called (big five) of the football leagues.

Celtic out-perform most of the sides in the Premier League

English sides Liverpool Man United, Arsenal Spurs, and Chelsea are ahead of Celtic, with Man City and Fulham the only other UK sides in the top twenty meaning Celtic outperform most of the sides in the more attractive looking EPL in the kit and merchandising sales.

The biggest club in Scotland

That is extremely impressive, and shows how lucrative our deal with adidas has been. A growth of €14 million (£11.7 million) since 2019 shows that in great detail.

We may not be in the same league as the likes of Real Madrid who come out on top with sale figures of €196 million (£164 million) but we are performing well and showing that we are still a big attraction outwith these shores. Proving once more that we are the biggest club in Scotland.

About Author

An ordinary everyday Celtic supporters hailing and still residing in Govan in the shadows of the enemy. I’m a season ticket holder. I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Star colleagues.
