For once, after last night, David Potter hasn’t much to say!

Well, there was not much to say about this one, was there? A bit of a non-event with one side having nothing to play for and deciding to stop Celtic from scoring, and Celtic themselves playing well within themselves for fear of injury and losing a place in the Cup final.

Nevertheless there was a little bit of good passing from Celtic, but never the cutting edge as was befitting for a team who took the field without an acknowledged striker.

Such chances as Celtic had were few and far between, and it really was hard to get excited about this game. Very relaxing, and I have to admit that I spent my time picking my team for a week come Saturday. And I came up with Gordon; Lustig, Simunovic, Ajer, Tierney; Brown, Armstrong, McGregor, Rogic; Forrest and Dembele.

That is assuming that everyone is available and no-one gets hurt on Sunday!

Sunday might, we trust, be a better game. There is something (although not much, in all honesty, at stake) for Aberdeen, and Celtic will want to finish on a high note before the carnival and the presentation of the trophy. But the only game that really matters now is the Scottish Cup final – and that was obvious last night!

It was nice to listen to the Green Brigade, even though they missed the 67th minute for the now famous song. The phones were all out, the lights were on – always a sign incidentally that the game is a wee bit boring – but they were in the middle of “There’s only one king Billy!” I suppose that is a good and worthy song, mind you.

But what am I talking about this? Simple because there was not much else going on! Maybe I should have stayed at home and watched the Edinburgh derby on the tele. I think a few people did just that because the crowd wasn’t great, nor was the weather. This game will not live long in my memory. Move on!
