Steven Lawless and Craig Sibbald had Gary Holt’s side ahead as the boos echoed around Easter Road.

Home supporters directed their anger at the former Leeds manager, who stood subdued after returning from suspension.

It was ex-Celt Scott Allan that got Hibs back into the game after winning a contentious penalty before Martin Boyle rescued a point for the Edinburgh side versus their West Lothian neighbours.

Hibs now face Celtic on Saturday evening for the Betfred Cup semi-final at Hampden. The pressure is on the Hibs manager, who’s only won one game in eleven matches this season despite drawing five in a row.
