The Affiliation of Registered Celtic Supporters Clubs have released a statement amid the ongoing crisis at the club. The Scottish Champions were beaten yesterday after Rangers came from behind to go level on points with Wilfried Nancy’s side.
Nancy, whose future remains untenable, cut a dejected figure at full time. However, the Celtic support responded poorly to the result, especially as it was clear that the trajectory under Nancy was not going to bring positive results.
In a statement issued on Sunday afternoon, The Affiliation revealed that they had been attempting to meet with the club for some time to no avail. In light of this and the evidence on the park and apparent breakdown of the relationship between club and fans, they are calling on change at the club.

The Affiliation calls for a new manager, a recruitment strategy that reflects the clubs size and expectations, fresh perspectives and strengthened governance on the board, a modern, ambitious footballing structure, a youth system capable of developing players who can contribute at the highest level, a leadership team that communicates openly and respects the voice of the supporters.
The lack of engagement from the club is no surprise, the Green Brigade were locked out of Celtic Park while Rangers were allowed to bring a flags into the ground. The club have also blanked fan media access to the club, further creating a divide with the support.
The scenes outside Celtic Park yesterday were not spontaneous; instead, supporters have had concerns about the trajectory of the club for some time. Domestic success quelled any serious opposition to the club’s strategy; however, the lack of progression in Europe, a number of failings in the transfer market and the briefings against Brendan Rodgers, resulting in his exit, increased pressure on the Celtic Board.

Success will bring us together. But First pride, then the crash. The bigger the ego, the harder the fall.
Proverbs. 16:18. Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
We’re seeing a collapse because of the pride of all the fighting factions of Celtic FC.
Success will bring us together. Concessions from each party. And change can happen. And happen very quickly.
It starts with Martin O’Neill. Please God. Jesus I pray. That Martin O’Neill can do everything he possibly can to reinvigorate the season. And we’ll come together along the way.
Hail Hail. And God bless the Pope’s 11.
Honestly I can’t believe your saying Success will bring us together, that will never happen as this Board and every Board in the past have treated supporters with contempt and as a money train, the Kelly’s, Desmond White,McGinn and present board, only person to do anything for supporters was Fergus and he made big profit for himself,I’m 75 and through the late fifties early 60s in periods to present day supporters treated like dirt, make queue for hrs on a Sunday when buying tickets for European games in all weathers, without and considering or allowing vans in to sell food, and once you purchased your ticket and got inside they had stewards telling you to get back outside through the gate.please don’t tell me Success will pull us together as this current Board have no time or Respect for the Fans except to try and take our money at every turn
I honestly had a look at the league table last night, I think if Nancy remains we could be looking at bottom 6.
If that did happen I wonder would Sky TV want action from SPFL as their 4th derby match wouldn’t be happening, you know, like what happened when the huns were reincarnated after liquidation!
The board are to blame. No concessions due to them delibrately briefing against Rodgers and the last 2 disgraceful transfer windows
While it doesn’t need a genius to see we need a real manager in and very soon, I have zero interest in anything this group of so-called supporters groups have to say.
They are not showing any genuine love of the club! They are just noise makers who collectively among them don’t share enough brain cells to blow their noses, far less spot problems with the board!
A green hun comments, fuck off you fanny
The Board are basically writing off the season if they don’t change the manager. The supported should do likewise and boycott games.
Nicholson can’t go to the toilet without Desmond’s permission, so the only way is to deny them money and when we fail to qualify for Europe and Desmond’s share value starts to drop he might, MIGHT take action
Celtic Supporters. Please just stop going to games. Home or away. Do NOT put money in. Please try a 2 month abstinent period. The players will manage fine. They are already quite well off. Starve the Board and show them who REALLY funds this Club and who really cares. It’s not about profits for us. That is ALL Desmond cares about, under the guise of being a True Celt. He is not, or this would not be happening. Please follow your instincts for long term longevity. HAIL HAIL.
Agree, refusal to attend games is the only way for the supporters to show it is not just a small faction that is unhappy with the Board, the lack of transfer, the lack of strategy and the contempt for fans being shown by the continued silence of those running the club (badly!).
