Lee Naylor reveals dressing room bust-up between two Celtic fan favourites

LEE NAYLOR has revealed the details of the bust up between fan favourites Aiden McGeady and Artur Boruc that shocked their Celtic team-mates. The pair went for each other while training one day at Lennoxtown but the altercation continued into the changing rooms when McGeady went for the Polish ‘keeper.

Speaking to Si Ferry on the latest Open Goal show, the 40-year-old left-back discussed the incident and how bizarre it was for those watching on.

“I’ve never seen anything like it. Aiden and Artur have been arguing on the training field and it’s followed on into the dressing room, and then there was a silence of about 10 minutes.

“After that they’re both in the shower and then bam! I see two naked wrestling in the shower!

“I’m thinking, ‘what’s going on here?!’

“Fair balls to Aiden because Aiden’s lost his head, he’s got a big massive lump on the side of his head from where Artur’s clapped him one.

“And then he goes chasing after him in the shower. Fair balls to him but I don’t know what he was thinking!

“I don’t know what he was thinking, getting thrown around the shower!

Naylor described how mad-man Boruc was a bit of a lone wolf in the Celtic Park dressing room until fellow Polish ‘keeper Lukasz Zaluska joined in 2008.

“He was just a loner really until his mate came. He was just a loner really, he done his own thing. Got in, got out.

“Unbelievable keeper and I just think things got the best of him towards the end.”
