Daniel Church confirms Celtic departure after 13 years at the club

DANIEL CHURCH has announced that he is leaving Celtic after thirteen years at the club. The 20-year-old left back took to Twitter to confirm his departure as well as thanking the club for the amazing memories that he had during his time with the club.

Church spent last season on loan at East Fife in League 1 making 12 appearances. Despite spending a huge chunk of his life at the club, Church never made a competitive appearance for the Scottish Champions. Although on the final day of the 2018/19 season, he was an unused substitute against Heart of Midlothian.

All the best to Daniel, wherever he ends up.

Elsewhere, Roma have denied having interest in Bolingoli. The 25-year-old was bizarrely linked with a move to Serie A after his reprehensible actions led to two Celtic games being postponed. Now, with his future set to be away from Celtic Park, Bolingoli will need to forget about a move to the Italian capital side.

With Church’s departure and Bolingoli’s imminent departure (wherever that may be), Greg Taylor is the only left back remaining at the club. Kerr McInroy has deputised there but is more of a central player. Lennon will be aware that a left back or a left footed centre back are a must in the next few weeks as the club look to be in the best possible shape for 10IAR.
