Lenny’s Delight at impressive New Bhoys Patryk Klimala and Ismaila Soro

CELTIC’S two winter window signings Patryk Klimala and Ismaila Soro have been made an impressive start to their first full season at The Scottish Champions and manager Neil Lennon was yesterday quick to praise both as the Celtic support waits to see what the striker and midfielder can add to the squad in this one of the most important season in the club’s long and unbroken history.

“They’ve started to really integrate well, we are delighted with both of them,” Lenny told Celtic TV. “It was short a turnaround for them when they came in January or March but they have had a good pre-season.”

The Celtic manager also noted that last year’s summer signings will also be all the better for having a full pre-season under their belts.

“Chris Jullien this is his first proper pre-season with us, and Boli is the same, hopefully these guys will get the benefit of that.

“Moi Elyounoussi as well, they are quality players who are part of the preparations, getting their fitness and physical development and the sort of team bonding we are doing as well.

“But there have not been too many changes and that is important for us going forward,” the Celtic manager stated.

Celtic are currently based at the world class facility at the Loughborough University Sports Arena and yesterday got confirmation from the Scottish Government that they will be able to travel to France next week for the friendlies against both Lyon and Nice before heading north to Paris to play the French Champions PSG. All three games will have crowds of around 5000 supporters and we are still waiting to find out how the Celtic support can view these friendly matches against top quality opposition.

Soro has yet to feature for Celtic

Speaking about the current base at Loughborough University, the Celtic manager revealed that he’s delighted with the facilities and the manner in which the squad is training.

“We are delighted, it was important to get the boys away, we’ve had a few hard weeks in Lennoxtown, but this really breaks up the pre-season for us.

“The facilities here are magnificent, the pitches are in mint condition and training has gone very well so far.

“We are trying to ramp it up now, because we will becoming into games pretty soon.

“We haven’t played a competitive game for almost four months now.

“So it is important we get into some match rhythm and sort of competitive edge into the training to take it into the games for next week.

“The other side of it is getting used to closed doors, the players have to adapt to that environment. The more we can practice at that the more they will get used to that.”

This morning The Celtic Star revealed that season ticket renewals reached 50,000 with the remaining tickets now being snapped up by the 17,000 supporters on the waiting list, so when Celtic fans are allowed back into a fully opened Paradise, the team are guaranteed 60,000 supporters at a full to capacity Celtic Park.
