Listen again to that podcast with ‘big Pedro,’ Peter Lawwell

THREE months ago, just after Celtic had won the historic Double Treble, the Celtic Chief Executive appeared on a podcast which was a joint effort from Celtic Underground and ByTheMinCeltic.

This podcast received widespread media coverage at the time. The questions Peter Lawwell was asked that day seemed pretty easy at the time, but we had just won another Treble and there was a real feel good factor about the club.

A few decent signings and the possibility of reaching the last 16 of the Champions League was being discussed by the fans on forums and social media.

It was looking good for Celtic and for Lawwell he was probably at the peak of his own popularity at this stage.

Perhaps we should have another listen to this half hour Podcast to see how things have panned out over the subsequent period for Celtic?

Here’s how the Podcast with ‘big Pedro’ was introduced on Spreaker, presumably written by Harry Brady from Celtic Underground:

“This week we are joined by the Celtic CEO. Yes big Pedro himself sat down on the joint CU & ByTheMin Couch to discuss all things Celtic.

“The chat is wide ranging and we could have covered one hundred and one subjects, but you know that you’ve got 30 minutes with Peter so you have to be selective so Paul & I from ByTheMinCeltic decided we should focus on the future and specifically those matters that impact most on our quality of football enjoyment.

“The chat was originally organised for February but circumstances got in the way so it was opportune that the reorganised date was after we had created history with our Back to Back treble.

“We enjoyed the chat, we hope you do.

Enjoy…”
