Today sees Celtic negotiate our first home Boxing Day fixture in 14 years as we take on Motherwell at Celtic Park, a result of Brendan Rodgers calling out those in charge of setting SPFL fixtures…
The Steelmen currently sit 4th in the table and will be a difficult side to break down so we will have to be at our very best to earn all three points.
A challenging time of year for Celtic
December always proves to be a challenging time of year for Celtic, and although we remain unbeaten, our performances have dipped a little in the past few weeks and that is something we should be looking to rectify, hopefully starting today.
Fingers crossed that our injury and sickness list is a little lighter than it was on Sunday, and our more creative players are on top of their game come this afternoon, as it’s vital if we want to return to winning ways. We can expect Cameron Carter-Vickers and Auston Trusty will be back in action today after sitting out the trip to Tannadice.
Glasgow Derby coming up
We have a big month ahead in January and it’s vital we start getting back into rhythm especially with the small matter of a Glasgow Derby at the start of the New Year.
I would say we haven’t really put in a flawless performance since beating Aberdeen and RB Leipzig in early November, today would be a good time to rectify that and give everyone a lift heading into the New Year.
