Low life Liechtenstein, back-stabbing Boyata, voting Celtic fans were right

DEDRYCK BOYATA is on strike. He refused to get involved against AEK Athens or Hearts and won’t be on the plane leaving for Athens today.

We reported before the game at Tyncastle – which Celtic lost 1-0 (Boyata scored on our previous visit there back in May) – that his agent had been mouthing off about Celtic breaking promises – see HERE.

More detail on this guy’s antics have emerged.

Jacques Liechtenstein gatecrashed Celtic’s training session on Friday morning as Brendan Rodgers was working preparing his players for the game against Hearts.

The lowlife demanded an unscheduled meeting with the Celtic manager. Rodgers accommodated him by setting a meeting for after his daily schedule was over yet the agent then failed to turn up.

We reported on one of his media outburst yesterday, apparently there is another one too.

In his second follow up attack on Celtic, low life Liechtenstein revealed back-stabbing Boyata has intention of playing against AEK Athens on Tuesday night for Celtic’s most important match of the season.

Kristoffer Aker is suspended so all of this would have been on Rodgers’ mind yesterday when he selected Hendry and Simunovic as his central defensive partnerhship – that’s all we have for Athens.

And apparently we can expect Boyata to run down his contract and leave for nothing next summer – a threat that will enrage every Celtic supporter.

“What state of mind is Dedryck in? It’s difficult, it’s impossible for this kind of pain to go away in less than a month,” Liechtenstein said.

“Entering the last ten months of his contract, everyone understands that he cannot put his career at risk by playing even slightly injured or at 95 per cent what a footballer sometimes does when it is covered by two or three years of contract.

“Despite Dedryck’s love for Celtic fans, he cannot put his future and his family’s future in danger by playing without being 100 per cent.

“On January 1 he will sign elsewhere by being free without reporting anything to Celtic.”

Peter Lawwell and Brendan Rodgers have been on different sides of a row over the past week. Boyata and his horrible agent have given them common ground to sort this guy out and get Boyata out of our club as soon as possible.

That argument got in the way of seeing the Boyata situation clearly last week. If this was his mindset we should have known before the English window closed and we should have encouraged the second  £12million bid.

We ran a Poll on The Celtic Star about this – see HERE exact point and 1838 supporters registered their vote – 91% wanted him punted.

His career was going nowhere when Brendan Rodgers took a gamble and brought him back to play against ALBION ROVERS. Most Celtic fans didn’t want to see him in a Celtic shirt again after his woeful showing under the previous manager – remember that Cup semi-final?

Boyata is a disgrace. Get rid, Celtic. Get rid.

  1. For me as soon as a player wants to leave,LET HIM.
He has given it thought,or at least you’d like to think so,and then voiced his views.
Now,the only sensible course of action is to get as much in the transfer fee as possible, maximising his last actions for the club.
CFC???? cannot have players playing who would rather be elsewhere and are only going through the motions. It really IS a no brainier.
Bye bye Dedryk,it was good for a while, now move on and set your demands somewhere that you ‘want to be.’
That last sentence IS the answer,it was not always nice to watch, hair raising and frantic at times, but that’s fitba for ye.
Wave bye-bye and please feel free to stay away,CFC???? have standards to keep and you are not up to those standards.
    Enjoy warming a bench elsewhere.TTFRNOO✅????????????????????
