Major blow for Rangers as attacking duo out of Celtic Park visit

Rangers have been struck with a double blow today with the news that Kemar Roofe and Aaron Ramsey are both out of the game against Celtic next weekend. The game could very well be a title decider if results go in Celtic’s favour this weekend.

Giovanni Van Bronkhorst’s side may have narrowly edged the Scottish Cup Semi Final but they will know that their trip to Paradise will be even more difficult with the absence of Roofe and Ramsey. Speaking to Sky Sports News, the Dutch manager said that he hoped to have both back for their return leg against RB Leipzig in the Europa League.

Celtic suffered without Giorgos Giakoumakis in the game at Hampden but they will welcome back the Greek striker. However, Ange Postecoglou will be without Croatian Internationalist Josip Juranovic, who picked up a knock against Rangers.

Celtic have won the last two league meetings, winning 3-0 at Paradise at the beginning of February and then grinding out a 2-1 win at Ibrox earlier this month. If Celtic can beat Ross County this weekend, a win over Rangers would make the league title all but secured with a vastly superior goal difference over our city rivals.
