MOUSSA DEMBELE could be the subject of a bid from Marseille, according to speculation in France.
This speculation is summed up by the excellent @Moravcik67 on Twitter who this morning has outlined the situation as it current stands.
“Lot of talk on French sites this morning that Marseille are keeping an eye on Dembele.
“They need a striker, and tried to get Balotelli earlier in the window. They’ve apparently agreed terms with Valencia for Zaza, but have put it on hold for 48 hours. No bid yet for Moussa,” he writes.

Andoni Zubizarreta a contacté l’entourage de Moussa Dembélé la semaine dernière pour avoir une mise à jour de la situation du joueur. Un transfert du Celtic pourrait coûter 15M€.

Dembele’s constant hamstring issues must surely result in interest in him dampening down. Whether Marseille will be put off, we should find out over the next few days.
What Celtic will do if such a big is forthcoming is also unclear.
Dembele has two seasons left on his contract so if Celtic are to sell him for a big sum then this summer would have been the time to do it.
However the alternative is to get him on a new contract – something the player has always been open to – and this could all be used down the road by a couple of years.

It would also give the support a huge boost.
Conversely, losing Dembele now after the week that we’ve all had, would be disappointing to say the least. But with Celtic managing to shoot themselves in foot in Athens – at a cost of £40million – a Dembele sale would certainly help re-coup that money for the bean-counters.
Meanwhile, expect a few new arrivals coming in from English Premier League clubs on loan shortly.
