The news that Daizen Maeda is free to play against Bayern Munich is a welcome boost, and a very welcome headache for Brendan Rodgers who now has a flurry of options in an attacking sense…

Daizen Maeda is an automatic pick
Daizen Maeda is an automatic pick that’s for sure, but whether that he will be deployed in a more central role like he did on Saturday remains to be seen.
Adam Idah can of course play there, and that would leave Daizen on the left and Nicolas Kuhn on the right, with an extra option in Jota can also play anywhere across the front three, although he’s unlikely to feature through the middle outside of an emergency.

Its unclear how Brendan will set up, but one thing is certain, and that is we will be at full strength with the added option of bringing quality faces from the bench in the later stages of the game.
Daizen Daizen, Adam Idah, and Nicolas Kuhn up top
I’ve got a feeling he will start with Daizen Daizen, Adam Idah, and Nicolas Kuhn up top, and will require the likes of Jota, Yang and even Johnny Kenny to freshen things up top later on as those who are tasked with starting will have to put in one helluva shift and will no doubt be a bit leg weary…Daizen excluded!

Whoever gets the nod will do us proud, but the fact we have a dilemma as who to start, well that can only be seen as a good thing.
I reckon that the Celtic team to start against Bayern Munich will be as follows…
Schmeichel; Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Trusty; Taylor; McGregor, Engels, Hatate; Kuhn, Idah and Maeda
That is arguably our strongest possible side.
